What is a Microsoft Word Barry integration?

Barry will connect to your Microsoft Word account and proactively complete work in it. Proposals and scopes of work will be drafted in your own template after the estimate visit, daily reports will be written from what the crew texts in, and change orders will be ready for you to edit, all saved to the job folder.

Barry won't just answer questions about Microsoft Word. It will be your AI employee — an AI operations assistant that does the office work inside Microsoft Word for you, on a schedule you set once.

Unlike workflow builders such as Zapier, as soon as the Microsoft Word connection ships and you connect:

  • Barry learns your business on its own — your customers, jobs, crew and how you use Microsoft Word.
  • You create systems and automations that update themselves when the schedule, the quote or the crew changes.
  • Barry connects Microsoft Word to all the other tools you use, so one text updates every one of them.
  • Barry asks for approval before anything sensitive runs — sending, paying, changing a price.

What can you ask Barry to do in Microsoft Word?

Once the Microsoft Word connection is live, text one of these to Barry and it sets the system up in Microsoft Word:

  1. After every estimate visit, draft the proposal in our Word template, save it to that job's folder and send me the link.

  2. Every evening, write the daily report for each active job as a Word document from what the crew texted today.

  3. When a customer asks for extra work, draft a change order in our Word template with the date, the scope and who asked, and hold it for my approval.

  4. Each Friday, pull every active job's daily reports into one short Word document so I can read the week in five minutes.

Barry works across all of these today — Microsoft Word will be one connection of many.

Questions owners ask

When will the Microsoft Word integration be available?

There's no date yet, and we'd rather not promise one before the connection is ready to use. Join the waitlist and you'll be among the first in when it ships. If your business runs on Microsoft 365, you can start with Outlook today: it's already a live connection, so Barry can file permits, quotes and confirmations from your inbox in the meantime.

Do I have to stop using Word?

No. Your proposals, templates and job documents will stay in Word, in your own Microsoft account, where you and your office already work. Barry will be another set of hands inside it, filling in the templates you built and leaving the formatting exactly as it is.

Will Barry send documents to my customers without me?

No. Anything headed to a customer, like a proposal or a change order, will be drafted and held for your approval. Internal paperwork like daily reports will be written on its own, and Barry will tell you what changed.
